Position: Program Manager

30 hours per week

Reports to: Executive Director

Company Summary

Aurora Interfaith Community Services (AICS) is a non-profit organization whose aim is to express Christian concern for our community by providing substantive emergency assistance to the residents of Aurora.  AICS does not charge a fee for any goods or services.   AICS provides wrap around services to Aurora residents in need to nurture each person as a whole.  Services include pantry food pantry visits, mobile food pantry, a clothing program, utility bill assistance and our new envision program.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of the mobile food pantry and envision program
  • Create and manage a thoughtful, strategic project implementation plan to launch the AICS envision program
  • Manages volunteers and staff to ensure program tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Leads volunteer coordination organization wide
  • Create weekly marketing calendar that includes tasks and implements completion of tasks
  • Performs or oversee marketing task completion including but not limited to brochure creation, social media updates and monthly newsletter
  • Assists with fundraising tasks including thank you process and fundraising event tasks
  • Participate in community meetings to network and get the word out on program efforts
  • Create annual program budget for review and approval
  • Create and manage Programs calendar
  • Drive box truck when needed for the mobile food pantry program
  • Operate electric pallet lift to load and unload truck (certification and training provided)

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Innovative and strategic thinker
  • Team player a must
  • Required to excel at Customer Service
  • Frequently moves heavy boxes and canned goods to weigh 50 lbs or more
  • Repeated climbing and lifting out of box truck
  • Pushing and pulling of pallets and loading and unloading of food
