Position: Pantry Assistant
Hourly $15-17 per hour up to 16-20 hours per week
Reports to: Pantry Manager

Aurora Interfaith is a non-profit organization whose aim is to express Christian concern for our community by providing substantive emergency assistance to the residents of Aurora. Aurora Interfaith does not charge a fee for any goods or services. Aurora Interfaith provides wrap around services to Aurora residents in need to nurture each person as a whole. Services include pantry food pantry visits, the Mobile Food Pantry distribution, a clothing program, utility bill assistance and our new Envision Program.
Responsibilities
- Outdoor maintenance duties include ensuring walkways and driveways are shoveled, trash is taken out and dumpsters are locked at the end of the day.
- Manage brick and mortar shelf stable products ensuring shopping room shelves are stocked on a daily basis before each shift begins and when the shift ends to be ready for the next shift.
- Help Pantry Manager stock back of pantry warehouse shelves. Ensure proper storage and rotation of canned goods.
- Food donation intake, bring in food with carts, weigh food donation, fill out in kind details and complete receipts for food donors.
- Prepare and pack participant food orders at the brick and mortar location to help get the tasks done to include but not limited to mopping, cleaning tables and counters, taking out trash and cleaning kitchen surfaces and bathrooms.
- Assists with janitorial duties.
- Drive truck to mobile pantries and food pickup locations including but not limited to TEFAP Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) monthly pickup, weekly FBR grocery rescue pickup, local grocery stores for grocery rescue pickup
- Help with special projects that involve picking up or distributing food at various locations.
- Operate a pallet jack in the warehouse and on truck lift and truck.
Qualifications
- Team player a MUST
- REQUIRED to excel at Customer Service
- Frequently moves heavy boxes and canned goods to weigh 50 lbs or more
- On feet for prolonged periods
- Drive 22 foot box truck and pallet lift
- Clean driving record
